Neurological department №4 (pediatric)

Neurology Department №4 (for children) has been working from October 2012, designed for 20 beds, organized to provide specialized medical care for children from 3 till 18 years.

During the year, more than 500 children receive high qualified specialized care, including citizens of the Russian Federation, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Estonia, Libya.

What diseases we treat?

• epilepsy (therapeutic, imcluding hormonal and immunomodulatory therapy, surgical treatment, VNS-therapy)
• autoimmune diseases (myasthenia gravis, multiple sclerosis, chronic and acute inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy, etc.) using extracorporeal methods of treatment (plasmapheresis)
• preparing patients for thoracoscopic thymectomy in case of myasthenia gravis;
• hereditary diseases;
• vascular diseases of brain and spinal cord;
• non-epileptic paroxysmal states;
• cerebral palsy (Intrathecal baclofen, rhisotomy)
• dystonia (deep brain stimulation).

The following diagnostic methods are used to verify the diagnosis:

• neuroimaging (magnetic resonance imaging 3.0 T, 1.5 T, CT);
• X-rays;
• EEG; Video-EEG monitoring; ambulatory EEG (Holter-EEG);
• evoked potentials (visual, somatosensory, autonomic);
• electroneuromyography;
• vestibulometric examination;
• ultrasound of brachiocephalic vessels and peripheral nerves.

• In 1993 she graduated from Grodno State Medical University in speciality "Pediatrics."
• From 1993 to 2005 she has been working at Lida territorial interregional association as neurologist.
• From 2002 to 2003 – residency in the Department of Pediatric Neurology of Belarusian Medical Academy of Post-Graduate Education
• From 2005 to 2012 – neurologist  in the Center of  Medical Rehabilitation for children with neuropsychiatric disorders in Minsk.
• In 2010 she received the highest qualification category in neurology;
• From 2012 to present time - the Head of the neurological Department №4 (for children).

Kozyreva Inna– neurologist with the first qualification category.

• In 1993 she graduated  the pediatric faculty of the Minsk State Medical Institute in speciality "Pediatrics."
• From 1993 to 1994. - training for the speciality "general practitioner" at Minsk ambulance station.
• 1994 - specialization in pediatric neurology in Belarusian Medical Academy of Post-Graduate Education
• 1994-1997 yy.  – Neurologist of the Neurology Department for infants of the 7th city hospital.
• 1997-2005 yy. – Neurologist of pediatric department for children up to a year with the nervous system lesions, congenital malformations and hereditary diseases in the "Mother and Child National Research Center"
• From 2005 to 2012. – Neurologist of pediatric neurological department in the 3rd city childrens hospital.
• In November 2005 she was conferred the first qualification category in the speciality "neurology".
• From 2012 to present time – Neurologist of  Neurology Department №4 (for children).

Ivanov Sergey– neurologist with second qualification category.

• He graduated the Belarusian State Medical University, majoring in "Pediatrics" in 2006.
• From 2006 to 2008. – Pediatrician of  23rd city childrens polyclinic in Minsk.
• Of 2009-2010. – Neurologist  of  23rd city childrens polyclinic in Minsk.
• In 2010-2012. - Neurologist of  3rd city childrens hospital in Minsk.
• 2009-2012. - Clinical ordinator of  the Department of  Pediatric Neurology in BelMAPGE.
