Ultrasound diagnostic is a modern and highly informative diagnostic method. Last years, it has a leading position among diagnostic methods in various branches of medicine, including neurology and neurosurgery.  Ultrasound methods allow to carry out an initial examination (screening), dynamic monitoring of patients, and in many cases the results of the study are crucial for the diagnosis and choice of treatment.

Ultrasound diagnostic equipment in the Center are of a high and expert class. The equipment allows to perform all types of ultrasound examinations required in examination of patients with pathology of the nervous system. In the Department of ultrasound diagnostics, you can undergo a comprehensive ultrasound examination.

Ultrasound examination of abdominal cavity organs:

• liver and gallbladder
• pancreas
• spleen

Ultrasound examination of urogenital system organs:

• kidneys and adrenal glands
• bladder
• bladder with measurement of residual urine
• prostate gland (transabdominal and transrectal)
• uterus and appendages (transvaginal and transabdominal)

Ultrasound examination of heart and blood vessels:

• echocardiography (transthoracic) with Doppler analysis, colour mapping and tissue Doppler
• echocardiography (transthoracic) with Doppler analysis, colour mapping and tissue Doppler;
• transcranial duplex scanning with compression tests and functional tests;
• duplex scanning of the main arteries of the brain, abdominal aorta and its unpaired visceral branches, renal arteries, iliac arteries;
• duplex scanning of arteries and veins of upper and lower extremities with functional tests.

Ultrasound examination of other organs:

• thyroid gland with superficial lymphatic nodes
• mammary glands, peripheral lymph nodes
• salivary glands (submandibular, parotid)
• pleural cavity
• soft tissues, including muscles and nerve trunks.
