Intensive care unit №2 (pediatric)
The Department Of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care №2 (pediatric) incorporates intensive care unit and two operating rooms. Annually more than 400 critically ill children are treated in intensive care unit and more than 500 neurosurgical operations are performed.
Patients not only from Belarus, but also from Russia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Georgia, Kazakhstan and other countries, come to the Republican Research and Clinical Center of Neurology and Neurosurgery for treatment.

The head of the department is Pavel Kozich. He can be contacted via e-mail: pvkozich@gmail.com. Ten anesthetists work under his supervision. Physicians are highly qualified and also involved in scientific research work.
Patients from newborns to 18 years old receive treatment for different neurosurgical and neurological diseases, such as:
- tumors of the central nerve system,
- traumatic brain injury,
- polytrauma,
- hydrocephalus of different etiology,
- abnormalities of the central nerve system,
- strokes,
- degenerative diseases of the nerve system,
- hereditary diseases,
- vascular diseases of the brain and the spinal cord,
- epilepsy,
- autoimmune diseases of the nerve system.
The department is equipped with modern medical equipment, which enhances quality of care, safety, and also makes stay in the Department more comfortable. The priority in decision-making is safety during diagnostic and surgical procedures.
